Pearls, Zoo, Easter, etc.

We're gonna start off here with some over the top adorable pictures of none other than Miss Lucy!  Shocking I know, I NEVER post about her.  She was being especially scrumptious the other day over some toy pearls that she loves sucking on and wearing and holding and whatever else she can do with them.  Plus I threw in a shot of what meal time is like afterwords.  Seriously folks, it's like a war zone.  Don't let them big blue eyes fool you.  Nothing like fighting with an 8 month old over who gets to hold the spoon.  I usually win though.

NEXT!

Lucy's new favorite things right now are those little dissolve-able puff puff things.  When we first introduced them to her it was actually quite comical.  Wasn't quite sure what to do with something like that in her mouth.

This video right here just might be my favorite of all time.  This totally shows Lucy's personality.  She's gonna eat them the way she wants to eat them:

We took a little trip to the "Zoo" here in Logan.  If any of you have been to this zoo, you know what the " " are for.
Lucy seemed to enjoy it.  I think she much rather enjoyed looking at the rocks or a random leaf on the ground instead actually at the animals, but hey, whatever makes her happy.

Note in the above pictures of her looking elsewhere than at the animals.

And I was quite proud of this first time moment right here.  Lucy's 1st ponytail!!
Don't you judge her baldness.  It's slowly coming in...in patches.

I don't think I ever posted about Easter, so here it is.  The Easter bunny did indeed make it to our house and got Lucy all sorts of fun stuff!!  She got a new dress, toys, and a new Curious George book.  And candy too, but lucky for us, she can't eat it yet so we got to!  hahaha. Oh the perks of parenthood. Like stealing candy from a baby.

This might just be my favorite attempt at a family picture.  This is what happens when we accidentally set the timer on the camera for 3 seconds instead of 10.
Perfection:

Here we go, that's a little better.  Had to get the full shot of Lucy's cute dress:

Until next time!

Shrek

Lucy has a new love. Shrek. Oh yes. We have a stuffed animal of him and oh man, she just loves him. She gives him kisses and if he's anywhere in her site she'll just sit and stare at him until we bring him over to her. Brandon is thinking he's gonna have to break out his guns sooner than he expected!

(Brandon just told me he thought Lucy looks drunk in the above photo. But I think it's cute.)

And this is what happens when you leave Lucy alone with Brandon. Curiosity got the best of him and just had to see if she'd fit into Shrek's doll clothes:

Hey, can't say I hadn't thought about trying it.

"Everyone gets twitterpated in the springtime"

Couldn't really think of a title for this random post, so this is what you get. A quote from "Bambi". Hey could be worse.

It's starting to warm up here which I am loving. We aren't cooped up in the house all day now, we can go on walks and play outside and actually go get the mail without 15 minutes of winterizing preparations. I am also loving all the cute summer stuff that Lucy can wear. Did you know little baby shorts are just about the cutest things ever?? Oh and little baby jelly shoes?!! Makes me want to freak right then and there. And don't deny it, it makes you want to too. I got these little neon pink striped shorts for Lucy and I may have a small obsession with how she looks in them. Reminds me of a wee lil' neon pirate.

Here's a little gem of a video I captured of Lucy babbling. This is a new trait she's picked up and may just be the cutest thing ever. You get the point after the first 15 seconds, but for all you TLF!(True Lucy Fans!) you're in for a real treat cuz there is 54 seconds of this cuteness. P.S. I just sat here for about 20 minutes waiting for the video to load, when I realized I actually forgot to click on a video to load...lame!

What? You mean your baby doesn't drink 64 oz of water a day?? She's thirsty okay! Don't you judge her!

I'm posting this picture because I was so proud of myself that day. I was dressed and ready for the day by 10 AM. 10 AM people! That hasn't happened like, ever, in the last 7 months.

Lucy girl in her cute Sunday best!
Brandon says this better be the only time she shows some leg for the camera!

Well I really should be doing the dishes right now instead of blogging, so I better finish up and get to the pile of dirty dishes that is taunting me. Happy Spring!

Spring Break

Spring Break came and went already. It was so nice to have Brandon all to ourselves for the whole week and not have to worry about homework or preparations for his class. We took advantage of the wonderful weather we had for most of the week and took plenty of walks and even did some fun outside activities.

We went for a picnic one day which was way fun since we have a park fairly close to our house we were able to walk there. We played with Lucy on the swings and slides and she seemed to enjoy herself. She didn't scream through the whole thing so I take that as a good sign.

We also went down to First Dam at the entrance of Logan Canyon to feed some ducks. I was nervous there may not be any out yet but they did not disappoint! They were everywhere. And man these ducks aren't afraid of anything. They came right up to us quacking and yelling at us to give them so bread. I was a little nervous with how willing they were to get up right in our faces so I was getting all ready to go all mama bear on their tail feathers if they dare take a snap at my Lucy. I even huffed my chest up and fluffed my feathers to intimidate them. They sure backed off after that. Silly ducks.

Nana and Papa Holdaway came up to visit us this last weekend too! We enjoyed getting to see them and had lot's of fun. They were nice enough to babysit Lucy for us so we could go on a date!! It was wonderful. She had so much fun with her Nana and Papa and her cousins. What a lucky girl to be so loved! We also took her swimming at their pool at the hotel. She wasn't too sure what to think of that and decided that it was too cold for her liking and only lasted about 5 minutes. It was still fun to introduce her to the water though and hopefully she'll love the water as much as her parents do.

Could you die over her little swim suit?! I just about did. Thanks to Lucy's sweet Grandma and Grandpa Frisbey for getting it for her!

All in all we had a fantastic week off and it's sad to see it go.. But only a few more weeks until school is out for the summer! Yay!!! Can't wait for that. And I'm not even in school.

Lucy was looking especially scrumptious the other day and so I got a few real cute pictures of her. She looks so cute in her ballerina outfit that she got from her Aunt Misty.
(I deal with her attacking me like this a good portion of the day)

Well that's all I have to say for now. Hope everyone had a fabulous spring break as well!!

Little Lucy-Loo

Is everyone as obsessed with their kids as much as I am?? Seriously, I can't get enough of her. I don't really have anything profound to say in this post, I just had a ton of cute pictures of Lucy that I wanted to share. Plus I know that is all anyone cares about anyways :). I think she is starting to recognize the camera too because she is getting really good at smiling whenever I whip it out. With as often as I whip out the camera, I wouldn't be surprised if she constantly sees flashing dots whenever she closes her eyes. Poor thing. But that's what she gets for being so stinkin' cute!

Flexin' her muscles!!

She was having the mother of all melt downs the other night and I thought it was funny especially since she wouldn't let go of her princess doll the whole time. So I snapped a picture!

Disclaimer: There were no Lucy's harmed in the taking of this picture. I thought this picture turned out kind of funny because of the angle that I took it. It almost looks like she falling but I swear she's not. Love the look on her face.

Well that's going to be all for now since it takes blogger like 20 minutes just to upload 3 pictures. Stupid blogger.
Hope you enjoyed! This is especially for Lucy's Grandma's!

A Birthday & 6 months

Brandon's birthday was yesterday and boy did we have a fun time celebrating it! We actually celebrated it on Monday since he had the day off of school and work. We went and got doughnuts for breakfast, played some Wii, ate our weight at Pizza Pie Cafe, went to the park so Brandon could fly his remote Helicopter and ended the evening with Apple pie and ice cream. Lucy was such a trooper for the whole day and was just as happy as could be. Sure love that girl!
The birthday boy with his favorite little girl ever!

Lucy turned 6 months old last sunday!!! Can you believe it?!! I sure can't. I wish the time would stop moving so fast. I already feel like she's gonna be a teenager before I know it and I won't be the coolest thing to her anymore.
She went to the doctor and here are her stats:
Weight: 13 lbs 11 oz - 10%
Height: 26.25 Inches - 69%
So as you can tell, she's just a skinny little thing that is really tall. I was a bit concerned about her weight being so low but the doctor said as long as she is eating well she should be fine. And that girl loves to eat so we're good. The poor thing also has a clogged tear duct in her right eye and has been for over a month now. The doctor gave me some drops for it and if that doesn't help we need to take her to an eye doctor to see if they need to go in and open the duct. I have no idea how that whole procedure works but I do know I'll be a crying mess if she has to go through that. It doesn't sound like fun. So let's hope these drops work!

Some facts about Lucy at 6 months:

*She LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse already. She kicks and squeals whenever I turn it on. She especially loves the "Hot Dog Song" they sing at the end.

*She hates being left alone and will freak if she thinks you are leaving the room.

*Can sit up really well.

*Still hates being on her tummy.

*Loves getting out of the house. Whenever we run errands she just sits and observes and doesn't make a peep. Just glad to be out.

*She loves taking a bath. Especially now that her Grandma Frisbey got her some Disney Princess toys to play with in the tub.

*She still doesn't giggle much. She just mainly smiles and squeals. Sometimes we can get some giggles out of her but not very often.

*She puts everything and anything in her mouth.

*She rolls her tongue when she's really upset and crying. It makes it pretty hard to feel bad for her because it's funny.

*She has the sweetest smile ever.

*Has started eating solids and does so like a champ.

I'd say that's enough for now. Now for what you've all been waiting for....more pictures!!!
