Since our Anniversary landed on a Monday, we decided to celebrate it a little early and spent last weekend in the one and only Las Vegas!! Now, my Brandon had never done the whole Vegas thing..as far as walking the strip and seeing all the random things that Vegas has to offer. So I took it upon myself to make sure that he saw everything that needed to be seen. Which basically means since we are poor, we just went and did all the free things that we could do. We got a nice hotel about a block away from the strip thanks to good ole Priceline. We were walking distance from pretty much everything so it made it nice. We went to Caesars palace and got lost a lot (has that place always been that big and always looked the same around every corner??) I took him to see the Bellagio fountains, we watched those like 3 times, it still amazes me everytime. We went to the M&M factory and I was officially in heaven. But my favorite part of the trip was when we went to "the secret garden" at the Mirage. It basically was kind of a animal retreat place. They had llama's, white lions, white tigers, and most importantly DOLPINHS!!! And anyone who knows me knows that I adore dolphins, so that made the trip worth it right there. It took everything in my man-power not to "accidentally slip" and fall into the water and emerge riding on the back of a dolphin while flipping through the air and high fiving each other after becoming new BFF's. Yeah, seriously considered it. I really think the words "hold me back" came out of my mouth a few times as I got close to the water. Ask Brandon, he'll agree.
Anyways....Vegas was a much needed and much enjoyed trip and I was so happy that we got to celebrate our Anniversary together, maybe it wasn't in the most romantic or modest cities (I seriously felt out of place cause I wasn't dressed as a slut and wasn't holding alcohol in one hand and a cigarette in the other) but it was a fun time and I enjoyed every minute of it.

2 years!!
Today is our 2 year anniversary and what a wonderful 2 years it has been. Brandon has shown me just how wonderful life really can be and has blessed my life immensely. He really does complete me and is everything I need. So my sweet honey-bunches-of-oats...here's to us! And here's to many many more years to come full of happiness and love. I still am so amazed and thankful everyday that you chose me. A perfect match in every way. Peas and Carrots. I love you more than words can express.
Just thought I'd throw this one in just so everyone can see how amazing my dress was!

Camping
Brandon and I decided on a whim to go camping this weekend, so we did! We had never been camping together so we figured why not start? We packed up stuff for over night and got some stuff for smores ("how can I have some more if I've never had any??")and off we went! It was just a real quick trip but I seriously had a blast. I managed to pretty much burn every single one of my marshmellows whilest Brandon, Mr. perfect at everything, got all of his a superb golden brown color. In my defense though, I seriously can count on one hand how many times I've actually toasted marshmellows over an open fire. After burning all of our firewood, we got in our tent and watched a movie on Brandon's laptop and went to bed! We were really roughing it too cause when we woke up the next morning we packed up all our stuff and headed out to eat breakfast at a nice restaurant. haha. This might be the beginning of a beautiful relationship with me and camping...maybe.
Cute Brandon just humoring me and posing for a picture.
Not quite sure what I'm doing here? Maybe the fire dance?? Actually I think I was trying to wash my hands of the bug spray that was on it. Note: Don't apply bug spray before eating smores...it gives smores that not so wonderful poison taste. yuck.
Having a slight moment of panic cause I burnt my marshmellow AGAIN!

Finally.
Finally I've found an olympic sport that I can relate with!!!
In preparation for this new Sumo suit olympic sport that Brandon and I have decided to participate in, we decided that we should really try and get in shape and luckily, someone got us on tape!!! Showing here:
Look closely and you'll be able to spot me and Brandon. Brandon is the 1st one on the right, and I'm the 3rd one on the right. I'm so proud of all our hard work.
***ok, ok, not really us, but seriously, have you ever seen so much un-coordination in your life??***

"Happiest Race on Earth"
This title pretty much says it all, I really did run the happiest race on earth! Or so I think, but that's just cause it may be the only race I've ever ran, but I seriously LOVED every second of it. My dad and I did awesome and we even beat our goal time by like 25 minutes! Our goal was to make it under 3 hours and we ran it in 2 hours and 34 minutes. I don't know if that's good or not, but I felt pretty proud of it. Now I can say that I have ran a marathon, sure it was only a half marathon, but it has the word "marathon" in it right?? This is totally something I would do again in a heart beat and I'm so glad my dad talked me into it!!!
Just crossed the finish line! Woot woot! Look, I'm even smiling still, that counts for something! Plus I also had this freaking cool minnie mouse hat that my mom let me wear so they could spot us amoungst the 13,000 runners!
My dad and I with our awesome medals. They seriously are such cool medals, I was pretty dang impressed. hahah we look really sweaty and gross!!!
We also went to the beach but due to the holiday the beach we went to was seriously out of control busy!!! We couldn't even find anywhere to change into our swimming suits without having to walk like 3 miles due to long lines for the bathrooms. So we just walked around and people watched and got pretty entertained by a "seal hugger" lady yelling at everybody to stay off the beach so that the seals can come and rest from their long journeys. haha yeah she was crazy. Good effort though if she thought she could control the 3 trillion people that were there.
We stopped to eat at California Pizza Kitchen (so good) and we had a perfect view of the San Diego Temple so we snapped a quick picture.
The hotel we stayed in had a huge statue of Mickey Mouse in their lobby, so I got my picture snapped next to it...
