Dear Blog,
We have been up to a whole boat load of things lately. But do I have pictures to back it up with? No, not really. I think I need to be deemed as the worst picture taker ever. I bring my camera with me on our adventures but I rarely remember to whip it out for that perfect Kodak moment. Yep, worse picture-taker-ever folks.
However, I do have a few good ones to post, so lucky you this won't be a boring no picture post.
First, our location of our home has yet again made us smile because of the closeness it is to everything that is pure awesome. We had the fireworks for the 24th of July going off right in our backyard.
We thought that was pretty cool, until we found out that the Fair & Rodeo also takes place right in our backyard, complete with countless horses tied up no further than 10 feet from our back door (sorry, no picture, forgot to take them) So we thought that was pretty cool until the whole house started smelling like horse and cow doo-doo and that the rodeo could be heard while we were in our house late at night trying to watch a movie and when we actually walked over there and found out that it was a rip off to ride any rides ($5 a person just for 1 ride!!!!) so we just walked around instead and ate our weight in cotton candy. In the end it still was cool, just not as cool as I thought.
Other recent happenings around our house are as followed, in no particular order:
Going shooting at the shooting range.
See the target on the right, that one is totally mine. Betcha ya'll didn't know I was little miss sharp shooter did ya? Ok total lie, mine is the crazy massacre mess on the left. Shooting is not my forte. Probably because it scares me to pull the trigger so every time I do, I usually end up closing my eyes. Probably not the safest way to shoot either, but what can you do?
We've also been working on our fugly faces:
And last but not least, Brandon thought it would be funny to poke out the corner looking like this trying to scare me half to death.

Little does he know (well actually he really knows) of my undying love for "The Phantom of the Opera" so instead of scaring me it made me strangely attracted to him...and then I broke out into song and believe you me, I hit every single one of those high notes that Christine hits (you phantom of the opera fans know which notes I'm talking about) For once it all backfired in Brandon's face and I got the last laugh.

We also went to Bear Lake with my parents a few weekends ago. The water was pretty rough so all we really did was wake surf, but it was still super fun. We also drove to Bear Lake last weekend for a family reunion on my side, but once we got there we could not find 1 member of my family. We looked EVERYWHERE. It's like they just disappeared, then I started to question myself whether the reunion really was that weekend and if we were even in the right place. So after a while of looking, we just gave up went and got a raspberry shake, drove home and saw "Inception" (amazing movie by the way, my dreams have been messed up since! haha) It wasn't a total loss but I was kinda bummed that we couldn't find anyone. I found out later through facebook that all my relatives were there, we just somehow missed them. Weird. They were probably avoiding us. haha
Our summer activities are slowly starting to come to an end, sad but kind of exciting too. That means Brandon will start school soon and that also means fall is right around the corner! Until next time. Toodles!
