Phew, lot's of stuff has happened this month! This just may be one giant long post so if you need a drink or need to use the restroom I suggest you do it now. Everyone ready?
Let's start with my Birthday. It crept up on me again this year and now I think it's just to the point where I'm just getting old. Do I still feel like I'm a teenager? Yep, but alas I'm not. I turned 26 people! That sounds so grown up.
We had a really fun day, I was lucky enough to have it fall on a saturday this year, which meant Brandon had just finished up his last week of the semester! Yay! Usually he always has a final or something on my birthday so it was nice to have him all done with school so we could celebrate stress free. We tried out our new bike trailer that my mom in law got us for my baby shower. Lucy is finally big enough and it is finally warm enough to use it. It was a hit for sure. Lucy loves it and just sits content as can be playing with her toys and looking around. Brandon and Lucy also took me out to dinner where we ate and ate to our hearts desire and we finished off the night with cake and a movie. It was a very nice day and I loved spending it with my 2 favorite people.
The following week we got the very sad news that my Grandma Stewart had passed away. She was a wonderful Grandma and I have tons of memories of her growing up and will miss her. I am so happy though that she is with my Grandpa now and how happy they must be to be together again. I'm grateful for the knowledge that families are together forever and that I will get to see her again. She passed away the friday before Mother's Day so it made for a sad Mother's day. But we got to celebrate it with my mom which I was so happy to be able to be there to support her during this hard time and try and make her Mother's Day a cheerful one.
I am so happy that I got to celebrate it this year as well now being a mom. I love being a mom. Point blank. Lucy fills my life with so much joy and happiness. She is the most amazing child in the whole world and I can't believe that I am lucky enough to have her.
She melts my heart and the love I have for her is indescribable. She makes me laugh, she makes me cry, she makes me smile and she makes me crazy. I knew having her would change life, but I didn't realize how much impact one little person can have on you. She has made me want to be better and I just hope that she knows how much I love her and how much I hope I am doing a good job.
I won't even get started on what she's done to her dad. He is smitten.
Just to end I wanted to post a couple of videos of Lucy. The first one is of her in her bouncer that she absolutely just loves and the second is a funny video of us pretending to communicate with her with her new little trick she's learned.
