Lucy and I took a much needed trip down to St. George for a week to spend time with the family. I loved every second of it! We had so much fun shopping, hanging out, eating, shopping and more shopping! Little Lucy was such a trooper and loved tagging along everywhere we went. We even hit up Vegas one day and she did so great! Didn't have one melt down the whole 5 hours we were shopping. She just loved being there hanging out with Grandma and mom.
We took her to the splash pad in St. George and I was a little hesitant because I wasn't sure if she would like it or not. Boy was I wrong! She LOVED it. I may or may not have been slightly proud watching her running through the water like it was no big deal. Takes after her mom when it comes to love for swimming! These are the only pictures I took the whole week we were down there, but I think they're good ones!

Summer already?!
I can't believe we've hit summer already! Time flies when you are having fun. It's amazing how fast a year can fly by. It feels like only yesterday I was pregnant with Lucy swelling up like a balloon with my big ol' clown feet and swearing up and down that we would never have a summer baby again. Ever. Good times, good times. Anyways.
Life here in Logan is going well. We are loving our new house, but not loving the fact that we misread our house info sheet about having air conditioning only to find out we in fact do not have air conditioning. Thankfully though we have a basement that stays a nice cool temperature so Lucy and I just start hanging out down there when it gets too hot upstairs. Since we are from St. George I am programmed to think not having AC is the worst possible thing that could happen. Actually I'm pretty sure my reaction was something like this, minus the first 4 seconds of the clip and I wasn't holding a femur bone.
HOWEVER, I do have to say that it cools off quite nicely at night in Logan and we've figured out if we freeze the house out during the night then it doesn't get too hot during the day.
Moving on to my favorite subject. Miss Lucy. Oh Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. She's just as cute as ever. Her personality is developing quickly and she is growing like a weed. She's started having an obsession with little tiny specks on the ground. Seriously this kid can zero in on a piece of fuzz on the ground a mile away. And she will stop at nothing to get that piece of fuzz and then stop at nothing to get it in her mouth. Which drives me crazy. Especially since she knows it drives me crazy so she'll look right at me and slowly start to put it in her mouth waiting for me to say "No no no!!!" That girl already knows how to push my buttons. We might be in for it with her.
And now because of that new little trait the only kinds of pictures I can get of her are ones of her hunting down those little specks. Makes me think I'm watching the animal planet. She's just like a lion stocking a baby gazelle, just waiting to pounce at any moment. Educational right?
Also, a quick shout out to Brandon for fathers day!!! Lucy is seriously the luckiest little girl in the world. Brandon is so smitten with her. And he plays and plays with her and she LOVES it. She always gives him kisses (which makes me jealous, I have to ask for kisses and I usually get rejected...by Lucy, not Brandon haha) and you'd think she hadn't seen him in years by the way she reacts whenever he comes home from work. What a cute pair they are. Peas and Carrots. We love you Brandon!

9 months old!
Lucy-loo hit her 9 month mark!!! She's officially been with us as long as I was pregnant with her. Kind of a crazy thought. The 9 months I was pregnant with her sure didn't go as fast as these past 9 months went. She went to the doctor and is 16 lbs (13% percentile) and 28 1/4 inches long (75% percentile). That girl is still just skinny and tall! She even lucked out and didn't have to get any shots this time since we were all caught up! Here are some fun facts about her that I'm sure no one really cares about except me :)
*She finally got her first tooth!!! It came in on the bottom followed by her second bottom tooth a few days later. For all the horror stories I've heard about teething, she seems to be taking it like a champ.
*Still refuses to crawl. BUT I think she is kind of getting there. She can crawl backwards and rolls all over the place to get to where she needs. She finally doesn't hate being on her stomach so I'm thinking crawling won't be too far off.
*Likes to pull herself up on whatever she can.
*Can say "Mama" "Dada" "Bob" (Grandpa Bob) "LaLa" (Grandma Laurie) and other random stuff that probably isn't really anything.
*Likes to pull herself up on things.
*LOVES food. Eats pretty much whatever we give her. Except eggs, she did not like those!
*Can click her tongue.
*Shakes her head "No".
*Still rolls her tongue when she get's really upset or just whenever sometimes.
*Has the most contagious smile ever.
*Is SUPER ticklish. Much to Brandon's delight...and mine, it gives him someone else to tickle instead of me!!!
*Still loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
*Sleeps through the night (Can I get a hallelujah?!!!)
*Loves to look in the mirror at herself and at pictures of herself.
That's probably good enough for now. And now for the main attraction! Pictures!!!

Our very first house!
Brandon and I bought our very first home!! Hooray! It's a cute older house built back in the 1940's. Which gives it tons of charm. It's 4 bedrooms, 2 upstairs and 2 in the basement, and 1 bathroom (we're hoping to one day get a 2nd bathroom). We've got a huge backyard that Lucy can run like crazy in when she's older and trees all around it, making it perfectly shaded during the summer. After waiting for what seemed like ever for our contract to finish up in our townhome we finally got to move into our house! When we got the keys and saw the house for the first time we were a little disgusted by the condition the previous owners had left it in. So that set us back an entire day because we had to clean it out. Thankfully my parents came to stay with us for the week to help which was a life saver! Thanks mom and dad!!! It was a whirlwind of a week that included loading and unloading boxes, cleaning, and all sorts of other stuff. What I was hoping would only take a couple of days actually took the whole week. But we did it! And we love our new place. Especially Lucy. She LOVES her room and loves to sit on the nice SOFT carpet in her room and play with her toys and roll all over the place. Here are some pictures:
We are in love. You know that weird transition into a new place? Well we didn't have that! It seriously feels like we should've been living here all along. I feel all grown up too owning my own house. Can't wait to see what kind of fun memories we make while living here!
