July!

Well since it's now pretty much the end of the month and I have only done 1 post this month...which happened to be at the very first of the month too, I figured it was probably time to do another post. This month has been great with lot's of fun activities. I like the 2 holidays in July but I hate the heat during this time so you might say I have a love/hate relationship with July. First off, the 4th of July! I love this holiday! The first things that always comes to mind is fireworks and good food. We spent the day going shot gun shooting and having a barbeque with my parents. Later that night Brandon and I lit off some fireworks and I happen so snap this little beauty from our fireworks show...

Ok ok , so that's not an actual picture of what mine and Brandon's firework show looked like, but I'm telling ya, it looks pretty close.

For the 24th we didn't do too much, the weather was kinda crumy that day and hot and HUMID. But we spent most of the day with Brandon's family enjoying each others company, eating at red robin, and watching brandon almost light our car and me on fire whilest playing with matches. haha Silly boy! We tried lighting off fireworks but the wind was blowing too hard and the weather just was all together not good. So we postponed it til a few nights later. We also watched "Bedtime stories" with his fam too and I must say that I totally enjoy that movie.

I can't really think of anything else too exciting..OH! Brandon finished up his summer classes, which according to our calculations of all his credits, he now has his associates degree!!! Hurray!!!! Only 1 more year to go til his Bachelors! I'm such a proud little wifey. He's so awesome about his schooling and he works so hard to make sure he'll get a good education to be able to support us. And I LOVE that he LOVES his degree! That makes me happy knowing that he'll be happy with his job and he won't be stuck at some job that he really doesn't want to do but feels forced to do it. If that makes sense. He such a wonderful example to me and he amazes me everyday. Yeah anyways....
I think that's all for today! Nothing too exciting, but at least it's a post!

"Will you marry me?"

What a question!!! 2 years ago today my cutey Brandon asked me that same question and life has been so amazing ever since. I'm so grateful he chose me to spend eternity with. What an amazing man I am married to! To commemorate I thought I'd post a few pictures of our engagements!

Adventures from Geo Cashing

We've discovered a new little hobby we enjoy: geo cashing!!! It's so much fun and fun to pretend like your pirates hunting for buried treasure! Ok, we don't pretend that we are pirates, but I did catch myself humming the "pirates of the Caribbean" them song once or twice...
Once it cools down we hop on our bikes and off we ride! Our first night we were very successful! We found our first one very easily after hiking through some lava rocks and getting some very strange looks from people passing by us in their cars.

There it was all snuggled in a little hole that I was too scared to stick my hand in for fear of some crazy insect attacking me, so I made brandon grab it! We were so happy we found it that we decided to snap a picture of our excitement....

But as you can see, we failed to zoom the camera out. Nice.
We then figured out the next one wasn't too far away so we hopped on our bikes and off we rode again. This time it was pointing us to the top of a questionable group of lava rocks so we ventured on up and sure enough, we found another one!!

Brandon on top of the world!

Me so happy to have found it. Yet I've some how managed to turn into a gleaming pillar of light, so it seems. Maybe I should let my pasty body see the sun shine a little more often..oh wait, I'd fry! Stupid un-tanable skin! But it's ok, I'm not bitter.

Not quite sure what I'm pointing at here, maybe I should work on my depth perception?

We found one more that night in the santa clara park. This one was tricky cause it was a camo geo cash! Someone thought they were so clever to put leaves on it! Let me tell you, I was pretty irritated cause I'm pretty sure I stared right at it a few times and didn't even realize it! lol

The next night we headed towards Ivins to hunt for some over there. Well, we went to 4 different geo cash sites and not one of them was there!!!! Either that or we just lost our touch at this and couldn't find any of them! But then again the first one we went to turned out to be a huge construction area, so the construction people probably found it and just threw it out! Lame!

Then the next one led us to a park and still nothing!!!

Brandon is pointing to where it "should" be...
So we also were led to a storage area and another park, but still no luck! Oh well. Despite our sadness, we managed to snap a few pictures of the lovely sunset. Then headed home.

Haha, we just can't seem to get that self portrait thing down! Oh well, it's at least a little better...

Yeah I don't think we will be venturing out to Ivins anymore to look for them. Geo Cashing rocks!!!

Boring

This is going to be a boring post. No pictures (though I had plenty of Kodak moments I just failed to put the memory card in my camera..lame!!) We've been surviving the summer so for. With Brandon going to summer school it doesn't feel much like summer, but oh well. We still have time for fun! We made a couple of trips up north a few weekends ago. We went up for my nieces 1st birthday and had a fun little birthday party with her. We then went back up again the following weekend for our nephews birthday too! He had a party at a pool so we got to go swimming, along with half of salt lake I think, go memorial day weekend! haha. We also finally made it out to good ole Gunlock for our first official water skiing day of the year. It was lot's of fun, still a little chilly. I was so proud that my pasty white body hardly got sunburned! Except for my legs and my part in my hair!!! Which got totally fried and I'm waiting for it to start peeling so it's gonna look like I gave lice now...great! After we went to the lake we took a trip up to zion and barbequed hamburgers and then went and watched "Star Trek" in the big huge Imax they have up there! All in all it's been a good few weeks. OH! And I forgot to mention that I got transfered again and now I work at our Sunset branch so now I'm way close to home and I love it!!! Maybe some pictures and something a little more exciting next post! haha P.S. Just kidding I do have 1 picture from the lake! Oh so cute!

Spreken Ze Deutch?

I can't believe I haven't blogged about this yet but Brandon and I are going to Germany in November!!!! Whooohooo! Brandon served his mission there and we really really wanted to go back and visit so we finally just took the plunge a couple of months ago and bought tickets! I am so excited to go and I feel like I'm going to a whole other world (imagine me breaking out into the song "A whole new world") We are just going to do all the fun tourist stuff. We are going to stay with some of his old companions too just to save on some money. I'm not sure what our whole trip is going to entail, but I'm excited. Plus Brandon already knows the language and the area so that'll save us a ton of time standing there trying to communicate with people or figuring out what place is where. November seems like forever away but we are getting closer! It's only like 6 more months! We will be there over Thanksgiving, which sucks, but it was the cheapest price we could find and Brandon will only end up missing like 3 days of school instead of a whole week. I had a "nicole moment" with Brandon (he get's a lot of those, poor guy) I asked him "Well why don't we celebrate Thanksgiving with one of your companions over there?" and he so nicely put his arm around me and said "Cause, babe, they don't celebrate Thanksgiving over there." Right...I knew that! ha..ha. Anyways, we are thrilled and can't wait to go!

This is the castle that they modeled the disneyland castle from and yes we are totally gonna go see it!

Accident Prone

I thought I'd just do quick post about my cutie husband, who indeed is ACCIDENT PRONE!! i first realized this while we were engaged when he managed to cut 2 of his fingers off while cutting wood where he used to work. It also happen to be around the time that we got out bridals taken, so in every few photos you can see the bandages, as shown here in this picture:

And yes of course one of the fingers so happen to be his ring finger.
Then 3 weeks after we were married, he got into a motorcycle accident and much to my relief wasn't seriously hurt. We haven't had any serious accidents since then but he did have a rough last couple of days. It started on saturday when he was working on our car and managed to hit himself in the lip with the wrench and gave himself a fat lip. Then on Monday he had an exceptionally hard day when he got his finger nail caught on our bed frame and bent it backwards enough to where it bled!!! That one hurt me just thinking about it! Then my favorite was later that night when we were throwing a frisbee around in our backyard. With my expert frisbee throwing skills, I threw it over the fence into our neighbors yard. So without hesitation, Brandon jumped over the fence to retrieve it. He lept over the fence and landed right on a cactus! I felt so bad for him!! Needless to say, our frisbee game was cut short. Moral of the story: Look before you leap!!! Here's a photo of him trying to get all the needles out of his foot. I wish I got a picture of it before he took all the needles out, but I wasn't thinking "hey what a photogenic opportunity!" lol

I sure love my accident prone hubby...but I wish he'd be a little more careful!!!

Happy Birthday to me!

Yesterday was my...dun dun dun..23rd birthday!!! Yeah, that seems so old to me but that's probably cause I still feel like a teenager. It was all in all a good day. Didn't really do anything too spectacular. I went to work (blah) and came home and went to Olive Garden with my family since it was also my brothers birthday too. After dinner we went to my parents and had some cake and then went over to my other parents house (brandon's parents) and just sat and talked for a while. Then we came home and relaxed and watched "August Rush", dang good movie. Yay for birthdays!
