Christmas time!

Before we start, I'll give you a moment to compose yourself after having seen this freaking out-of-control adorable picture of my Lucy.

Are we good? Ok. Moving on.

Things are starting to get pretty festive around our house. Ok let's face it, they've been festive since the weekend before Thanksgiving. Yes I am one of those people. But I can't help it! I love love love Christmas and may or may not start listening to Christmas music in October September. The holidays just make me so giddy. And I'm even giddyer (word?) this holiday with Lucy here!
Cutest stocking stuffer ever.

I also found out I was pregnant with her on December 12th of last year so this month will always be more special now because of that.

Lucy is starting to grow at an incredible rate and it blows my mind that she is almost 4 months old. Her new favorite things are she's figured out that she can stand, with our help of course, and she's discovered that she can use her hands for more than just sucking on them. She's getting really good and being able to reach for something that is in front of her. It's so cool to see her learn and watch her figure out this crazy world.

When we were down in St. George for Thanksgiving, Brandon found a little toy 4-wheeler for Lucy for $4! So I let him get it for her and he's been busy fixing it up and getting it to run. Well I kept telling him that it'd be a while til she could test it out but he proved me wrong one night when she suddenly came zooming into the living room sitting on her 4 wheeler (with the help of her daddy). This girl isn't going to be afraid of anything I think. Brandon has all these crazy contraptions that he's thinking up for her and I'm sure she'll love every second of trying it out.

And for journaling purposes, I want to document some of Lucy's quirks that she is doing now.

*She finally decided she liked her binky. Thank the maker for that one. It has been a huge lifesaver.

*She also likes her swing now as well. Seriously without that thing, I don't think I'd be able to get anything done.

*She LOVES being apart of the group. She hates it when she get's left behind. She loves just sitting and observing everybody...as long as it's on someone's lap that she is sitting.

*She is growing to really hate her car seat. I blame this on the long road trip to St. George. She wasn't a fan much after that. She always gives us the evil eye when she's in it now. Showing here:

Sometimes though when can get some cute smiles out of her in her car seat. These pictures make my heart want to burst.

*She's obsessed with sucking on her hands and always has them in her mouth. Her poor hands are always ice cold from being wet 24/7.

*Brandon can always get her to laugh, am I jealous of that? You bet!

*She discovered standing and wants to do it all the time.

(How amazing is she? Standing all on her on at 3 1/2 months...with the help of the couch for balance...)

*She hates being on her tummy. I'm pretty sure she's gonna walk before she crawls!

*She is obsessed with a musical snail we bought her for Christmas (what?! Yes we are letting her play with it already..she's not gonna know! Just wrap that bad boy up on christmas eve) It makes her smile every time (well except when we took her to get her pictures taken, she wouldn't smile for anything) We've even lovingly named him Francisco.

*She prefers to be held so she is facing forward so she can see what is going on. She hates not being able to see.

*She also likes to be held in really funny positions sometimes.

*She isn't a fan of bed time and usually fights to fall asleep and about 30 minutes on the dot from when we put her down, she wakes back up. Every. single. night. But now that she likes her binky, we can just pop that in her mouth and she goes back to sleep.

That's probably enough stuff for now. I'm sure you are nauseated from all the cuteness and probably need like a 5 minute break no? Well too bad. Here comes some more cuteness.

As I've looked back over the blog, I realized that I don't have a lot of pictures of just me and Lucy, I'm usually the one behind the camera, so I've been making it an effort to try and have Brandon take more pictures of us together because I'm sure I'll look back and regret not having any with the two of us. So here is proof that I still in fact do exist.

Could you die over those little boots?!! I just might.

Holy freaking long post. Time to wrap this thing up...I can't think of anything profound to say, so....toodles!

Chilling with Daddy

Lucy just loves her Daddy! Pretty sure he's her favorite person ever. She gets so excited every time she sees him and just loves playing with him. When we were down in St. George for Thanksgiving, this is what I discovered one morning:

She seriously just sat there for the longest time watching her dad play his Batman game. She loved it! It was the cutest thing.

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend. We enjoyed a heavenly week in St. George that was full of fun and food!!!

And here are a couple more photos for the road because I can't get over how freaking cute my daughter is.

Halloween 2011

Halloween was awesome this year! It is so much fun having a kid during the holidays! Makes them so much more fun. This past month was full of fun activities including going to the corn maze and the Logan Pumpkin walk. Sure Lucy had no idea what was going on, but it was still super fun to enjoy the activities with her. We also carved pumpkins a few days before halloween and Lucy even got her very own! And it was Minnie Mouse, of course.

On Halloween Me and Luc took it easy in the morning and during the afternoon I got her in her cute costume and we went to the mall to walk around and look at all the costumes and the trick or treaters. I really wanted to get candy from all the stores but I felt a little silly asking for candy for a 2 month old...I think we all know who really is gonna eat the candy, haha. Oh well. Next year we'll probably get to eat most of it...muhahahaha!

Brandon came home and I made homemade cheesy potato soup and we had that in some bread bowls and waited for trick or treaters...and waited and waited. We didn't have very many and of course we have a ton of left over candy. You'd think we'd accept the fact that we won't get many trick or treaters and not buy a ton of candy, but on the other hand...we have lot's of left over candy to eat! YES!

I am so excited for the next few months since this is my absolute favorite time of year and I am so excited to have Lucy here to share it with us. What a little dear she is. We are pretty much obsessed with her.

She is growing so fast and learning fast too! She's starting to talk a lot and I love her sweet little voice, makes me smile everytime. She rolled over for the first time too a few weeks ago!! She's just amazing like that. Ok, well it actually is more like falling...with style. But she can still do it! We're still working on her rolling from her back to her tummy, but I doubt that'll happen for a while since she hates being on her stomach. She is able to hold her head up really well now and basically doesn't need our help anymore with that.
And she is getting cuter by the second.

Are you kidding me?? Can this child get any cuter?! Makes me want to throw my laptop across the room and rip my shirt off, hulk style, cuz I can't even handle the cuteness.

This is just something funny that I wanted to document. She is so high strung I swear. She always falls asleep with her arms up. Yep. Don't ask me how she keeps them up while she sleeps, but she somehow does. Relax!
"Is that called relax?"

She also loves it when her daddy plays Super Lucy with her!
Super Lucy!!!

This picture cracks me up.
"How you doin'?!"

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween! Bring on the holidays!!!!

2 Months

Our little Lucy-loo is 2 months old today!! How the time flies! She is starting to grow so much and learning new things everyday. She smiles all the time and is starting to find her voice and loves to tell us her stories. She's got the cutest little voice ever and I could listen to her coo and talk all day. She amazed me the other day and rolled over from her tummy to her back!!! I was so shocked when she did it. I immediately put her back on her tummy and she did it again. My daughter is brilliant.

We took her to the doctor yesterday for her 2 month check up and here are her stats:
Weight: 10 lbs 31% percentile
Height: 23 inches 84% percentile
Looks like she got some of the Frisbey genes. She's tall and skinny!

She also got her shots yesterday too. Pretty sure it was the saddest thing ever. I nearly had to leave the room because I almost burst into tears. Her pour little legs have been hurting since then and it just breaks my heart to hear her sad little cry because of it. There has been lot's of cuddling and kisses given because of it.

Lucy got a bumbo chair and loves it! She thinks she is pretty hot stuff sitting in it.
She looks so cute sitting in it! Just love that girl!

Lucy being cute as ever!

Last weekend I put on a brave face and left Lucy for a little while with Brandon while I went down to Salt Lake to go to "Witches Night Out" at the Gardner Village with my Mom and cute sister in laws. We had lot's of fun and even though I missed Lucy like crazy, it was good to have a girls night. We had fun wandering around and admiring all the witch costumes. It seems to get bigger and more popular every year and it's something I always look forward to. Great excuse to get dressed up and have tons of fun!

Best looking bunch there!

Lucy's Blessing Day

This little beauty was blessed by her daddy on October 9th. It was such a beautiful day! It had been so rainy and cold the days before and it turned out to be sunny and gorgeous just for her big day. She was given a beautiful blessing and we were one proud parents! It was so nice to have so much support from our family. She had her Grandmas, Grandpas, aunties, uncles and cousins come to support her. She looked beautiful in her blessing dress, which happen to be the dress that I was blessed in so that was so special.

Think we are proud? Yeah just a little...

The Frisbey side had a fun filled family day the day before her blessing. We met in Salt Lake and went to the Living Planet Aquarium. It was super fun and so awesome to spend time with family. Lucy had no idea what was going on but it was still so fun to have her there. She was so excited to be around so many family members and getting held the whole time.

Fun time had by all!

Thanks to all our family for coming and for all you do for us! We are truly so blessed.

4 Years

Brandon and I celebrated our 4 year Anniversary on the 28th of September. It was a different anniversary than what we've done in the past with our new little addition of Miss Lucy, but it was still a great day. Brandon had the day off so we decided to take Lucy up the canyon here and see if we could find some geo caches! We had a great time hiking around and even found a few. There were mosquitoes and bugs everywhere though so we kept Lucy under her car seat cover the whole time but despite that I think she still had fun. Ok she pretty much slept the whole time. Then we decided to be brave and take her out to dinner that night instead of cooking something or getting take out. Well we thought we were being so smart by feeding her right before we left and counting on that putting her to sleep, well she did sleep right up until our appetizers came out and then she wanted nothing to do with sleep. All she wanted was to be held so that made for an interesting dinner trying to calm her down and switching off holding her so the other person could eat. We decided we won't be attempting that again til she's a little older. It was still an enjoyable evening and we even got free dessert because it was our Anniversary. Score!

What a wonderful 4 years it has been. This last year was by far our best year with our new little Lucy in our life. How she has blessed us. She is such a joy and we adore every minute with her. Even if she's screaming her head off, because her little cry is just so funny.

I am so lucky I married such a wonderful man. Brandon is so hard working and wants nothing but the best for us. We may not be perfect but I believe we are perfect for each other. Peas and carrots. Here's to us and many more Anniversaries to come!!!

And just because I can't do a post without putting up a zillion pictures of Lucy:

Cutest. Child. Ever.
