11 months old

Well the count down has officially begun.  The day I've been dreading since Lucy was born, this is her last month before she turns 1 and is no longer considered my new born baby.  How fast this year went by!!  They aren't kidding when they say your kids grow up way too fast.  Lucy is such a busy girl and is starting to get into everything!  She crawls all over and has the funniest crawl, we call it the "wounded bunny".  She crawls on her one knee and uses the foot of the other leg to push off. It might be a little crazy but it works for her! My favorite is when she get's going too fast and totally face plants it. Doesn't even phase her, she just gets right back up and starts off again.  Love her!

She is making it quite challenging to change her cute lil' behind lately.  She thinks that if she sits still for 30 seconds while I change her she's going to miss out on everything, so by the time I get her diaper off and reach for a wipe, this is what I turn back around to:

Cutest. bum. ever.

So then it's a fun little battle of chasing her down and trying to diaper her back up before she pees on my floor...or worse.

Her thing right now is to point at anything and everything she sees.  It could be a random twig on the ground and she'll point to it saying "oh oh oh" until we either walk away or let her investigate it.  We went into the Disney store in the University Mall and I thought her head was going to explode.  So much excitement she could barely contain herself (Shocking I know, she's a Disney fan).

She also picked up this sweet little move while at my parents house:

She seriously cracks me up.  She entertains us.  Indeed she does.

I also got some pretty awesome footage of her showing off her head banging dance moves the other day while we were playing.
Oh Lucy, what did we ever do before you to entertain us?  Pretty sure we just sat and stared at the walls.

As much as I dread her growing up too fast, it is so fun watching her grow and learn new things.  It's amazing to see the world through her eyes as she experiences new things and how much it fascinates her. We love you Lucy-bug!!! I really am excited to celebrate your first year of life with our families! More like celebrating the fact that your dad and I survived the first year and more importantly...so did you! We *hopefully* haven't messed you up yet!
