Lucy meets the Mouse

For our 5 year anniversary, Lucy's birthday, and just because, we decided to hit up Disneyland!!!  We gotta take advantage of going while it's still free to get Lucy in.  Now, those who know me know that I LOVE Disneyland. Love love love! I may like it better than the kids, you may or may not see me running through the park, mickey ears on, melting ice cream in one hand, fast pass in the other, pushing everyone out of the way so I can ride Indiana Jones first.  Ahhh, heaven. And what a sight too I might add.  Well, I hadn't been in almost 5 years. 5 years people!!! That's happened like, never, in my whole life.  So I was getting a major itch to go and basically forced Brandon into going.

We went with my wonderful parents who were so gracious the whole trip and put up with Lucy being a tad bit ornery the whole weekend (she was getting over a sickness so I couldn't really blame her)  and they also watched her for us so many times so that we could go on rides.  We stayed for 2 days which without a baby is usually plenty and you can ride most of the rides multiple times in that time frame.  Well I didn't realize how much a baby effects what you can do with your time so we didn't nearly get in all the rides we wanted but we still had a good time.  Lesson learned, next time we need to go 3 days.  Or maybe 4.  Or maybe a whole week! (insert my head exploding now....out of excitement of course).

Lucy even met Minnie Mouse.  Oh what joy.  We barely got in to meet her and they were rushing everybody through so I got a bit flustered over the whole thing.  We basically had to rip Lucy out of her stroller, from a peaceful slumber I might add, and basically got thrown into Minnie's house to meet her. I mean, I didn't even have time to put Lucy's shoes on that's how crazy it was.  And poor Lucy, I didn't get the reaction from her that I was expecting (pure elation) instead she just kinda walked up to Minnie all zombie like trying to figure out what was going on and why she had been awaken so abruptly from her slumber.  But she did recognize Minnie and was fascinating with her nose and kept touching it and just looking at her.  I got it all on tape....lucky!

I didn't get tons of photos due to feeling rushed the whole time and not wanting to waste time taking pictures, which I am now kicking myself for, but I at least got some.  Lucy seemed to enjoy the rides for the most part.  I think her favorite was probably Splash Mountain.  Boy did she get elated every time we went down that big ole drop.  Just kidding.  She didn't go on that one.  Something about being too short. Pshhh.  I think she liked Pirates of the Caribbean the best, mainly because of the dog holding the keys at the end of the ride.  Oh and the parrot that you can see while you are in line.

I wish it was already time to go again! I just hope it's not another 5 years!
